Family Vacation 2009! (Lots of Pictures)

We feel so lucky to have been invited to crash Hannah's Graduation trip! Her Mom found a great deal on a Carnival Cruise to Cozumel Mexico. We never made it to Mexico due to the Swine Flu there. We did however visit Key West and Nassau. We drove to the Port of Miami, it was a bit of a drive. We enjoyed the warm tropical rain and the beautiful sunsets over the Atlantic.

This is what it looked like behind us as the rain was coming down on the front of the truck!

Our room at the Embassy suites in Palm Gardens Florida
These are the resident Swans in the Lobby.

MIAMI & CARNIVAL CRUISE

Darren found the remote to the T.V. in our stateroom. Now we await the arrival of our luggage.

Is that guy really holding a Florida Gator?

View of Miami from our Balcony on the 8th Deck.
We are ready for the Muster drill!!!!!!

The Pilot boat guiding us out of the Miami-Dade Harbor.

Jacq & Ben hanging out on their Balcony!

A really plush Golf resort and community only accessible by a Ferry Boat.

We ate dinner at table 331 with the Richardson's and had a great view.

A beautiful evening on the Atlantic.

KEY WEST

Sunrise as we cruised into port.
After a yummy breakfast in the dining room we head out to find a beach! We ended up at Zachary Taylor State Beach. A nice family beach/park.

After a nice swim and some sun we were ready for lunch and some famous Key Lime Pie!!!

Mmm Good!!!!

DAY AT SEA

Riding the glass elevators!

Trying to hitch a ride on the Wonder!!!!

Darren wishing he could spend the rest of his life as a sailor!!!!!

Just having fun making silly faces for the camera!!!

Happy Birthday Kyle!

Families who play together stay together!!!!!!

Who says sunsets over the Atlantic are not beautiful?

NASSAU, GRAND BAHAMA

View from our stateroom.

Nick & Zachary brave the storm and get in the water anyway. Beach at Blackbeards cay off Nassau.

Messing around on the mini golf course on deck 11!

We learned some of the secrets to folding towels really cute!

Our Stateroom steward was Sammy from the philippines, he is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints and is getting ready to go home in 2 weeks. His son is 8 years old and is waiting for his Dad to get home so he can be baptized. He made a monkey just for Darren on the last night!
