Our First Thanksgiving in Summerville

We had a quite Thanksgiving dinner here in sunny Summerville. We missed being with family on this special day. We have been very blessed this past year. Darren and Nick ventured out to Walmart for a football. I enjoyed making a lighter version of the traditional Thanksgiving meal! Posted by Picasa

Morning at the beach

Sign on Folly Beach Fishing Pier.
A very nice long Pier set up with fishing stations on both sides and a 2 story picnic area at the end. A restraunt and gift shop at the entrance.

This is one of the local surf shops in Folly beach. McKevlin's carry's new and used boards, wet suits and lots more. We bought Nick a new wet suit here. Hopefully he won't grow out of it to soon.
Tonight is the big game Carolina Gamecocks against Clemson Tigers. Nick is ready with his Carolina colors on.

More House Pictures

Today when we went to see the progress on the house it was all wrapped up. The plumbing is well under way. The showers and tubs are in place. The duct work was being done while we were there. It sure was a lot colder today. Nice and sunny though.
Nick has started creating clay figures with polymer clay. He wants to make a short film with them when he has enough finished. Posted by Picasa

New Home in Summerville ( Glen Livet Ct.)

Wow what a beautiful day here in Summerville today. Nick and I woke up to a balmy 70 degrees at 5:30 this Morning. It has been lovely all day! Darren and I had the fun chore of going to the DMV to take care of the cars and licences. The people surprised us by being very pleasant and relatively fast. It is very expensive as they have a yearly assesment tax on your vehicles.

About the House. The window you see in front is Nick's room. The garage is a one car, my car is inside. Darren is so nice to let me have it! The picture on the right is the back yard. the sliding glass door leads into the kitchen dining area. The other window is our bedroom.

We are very sorry to hear about all the Tornados that swept the country over the past few day's We hope everyone is safe! Posted by Picasa
