Christmas Day 2008

Another beautiful Christmas day in South Carolina! We made our traditional trip to the beach, only this year there were a lot of people on the beach because it was such a beautiful day! Yes there were some in the water, they had wetsuits on though.

The pier at Folly Beach was closed today.

Sandman wishing you a Merry Christmas from Folly Beach, South Carolina!

These two are good!!!!

Tennis anyone? Barefoot Tennis anyone?

Most of us received Tennis racket's for Christmas from Santa. We stopped at the courts on our way home to play with them.

Did You Feel That?

It has been well over four years since we have felt one of these!!!!!
That's right I remember now what it is like being shaken out of bed, so to speak. This was mild in comparison to what we have experienced in the past and gladly so! It is fitting though as this year has been such a year of shake rattle and rolling in a lot of areas of our lives! Don't forget to Hug your loved ones more today!!!!

Thanksgiving 2008

Happy Thanksgiving from our home to yours!

We enjoyed a delicious dinner made by everyone. Darren did a wonderful job on the meats! He and Nick played a bit of Turkey bowl before returning home to check on the meat. Jacquie did a fantastic job with the rolls, fruit and sweet potatoes! Nick set a really cool table and Ben helped direct traffic;) We hope that you and your families had plenty to eat and stayed warm and cozy this Thanksgiving!

I am so grateful for each of you, thanks for making our lives more full this year!

Birthday Fun

Happy Birthday Ben!
Ben woke up with a terrible cough and cold:(
He made the best of it though and enjoyed all of our plans to make his day special.

Jacquie and I made Stake Fajitas for lunch.

After a yummy lunch Ben opened his many gifts.

After trying out all his golf equipment we got ready for the evening. You will have to ask Ben what happened on his birthday evening before we left to go see Trans Siberian Orchestra next time you see him.

We all loved the Concert! Another great Show by TSO

Another beautiful evening at the beach!

We like to head to the beach in the late afternoon when we finish our work for the day! Today was the perfect day for just that!

Family fun and games on the beach!

Benjamin's Sweetheart!
Such a handsome husband and father!

Surfers like to use these paddle boards when the waves are small to help build arm and leg muscles.

Fall evenings on the beach are fairly warm and uncrowded here in SC!
As the sun set beyond the Marsh we decided it was time to feed our hunger and headed into Charleston for some fresh seafood!

"Wicked"

A few months ago I was asked if I would be interested in going on a weekend trip to see the Musical "Wicked" with a group of girl's from church. I definitely was and thought Jacquie would be too! So we left for Atlanta on Halloween and after a 5 hr. drive stayed the night at a very nice Hyatt place in Lithonia, Georgia about 30min. outside of Atlanta. We arrived early at the Fox theater in Atlanta, so we could get some pictures and look around the famous theater.

At 11:00pm we finally were ordering dinner at Ruby Tuesday's.

Jacquie is ready with her ticket, our seats are in orch left row kk!

The Fox Theater is a fully restored 1929 "Movie Palace". It seats 4,678 and you can catch a broadway show, the ballet, symphony, concerts and movies there. I heard a rumor that the debut of "Gone with the wind" was shown here.
