August beach day!

After a Cosmic Dog for dinner

We enjoyed

The warm water
Sunny skies

A warm breeze

The clear water
The small waves

Less people on the beach
And most of all doing what we love together!

Fun with family

Ben and Jacquie dropped Darren and Nick off at Salt Lake International and then went to visit her Grandparents so they could meet Ben. I spent the afternoon with everyone at the Riverside pool. The cousins loved playing and swimming together! After we ate yummy pulled pork sandwiches that Cory and Shannon made we spent the evening outside! You will have to ask me about my adventure after dark sometime:)

After the wedding of Justin and Jacklyn Schwartz

Wedding Day

Darren and I woke up early and went for a walk around the neighborhood. There were lots of tall weeds with wild flowers growing in the empty lots. We looked in some of the homes that where being built. We even went up to a home with a for sale sign that was not empty and Darren tried the door, not knowing it was lived in. It was locked thank goodness! They were sleeping I'm sure it was only 6:30.

After a bite to eat and some fun and games.

Who knew one could be so entertained by an expanding ball!

We met Jill and went to see her Hapari store.

We met for an early lunch at Cafe Rio and then headed back to get ready for the wedding!

Yummy!

Volleyball with a twist

The Priest's were in charge of this month's combined activity. They had us play Volleyball tied to a partner, and one of the partners blind folded! It took a lot of team work to play that way!!! After struggling for a while we got to play using the large ball without any twists.

Kelsey & Chris hit the floor after going in the opposite direction!

A change of heart

Today for the Young Women's lesson Sister Crubaugh taught about having a change of heart. She had us read the scripture Mosiah 3:19 and the 13Th article of faith replacing the we with I. Try it it's very personal. I just ran onto this video clip this afternoon while looking for some info for my lesson at the end of the month. It goes so well with what we learned today in our meetings.

A new month and still summer:)

Nick is such an excellent lawn boy!
What you don't see are the ipod and ear buds!
He even cleans up the mower when he is finished!
The lawn has only had to be watered once and it was in the spring. We have had such nice afternoon showers that the lawn has been plush green this past month. We are wishing for the same this month!
