Last Update for March!

Yes, we often go a bit over board when doing upgrades!
No plants were harmed, just kindly moved.
No husbands were harmed either.

And baby and grandma watched from a safe distance.

Thursday Update

Happy spring!
I hope that you are starting to feel like it is spring where you live.
I have been enjoying being out side working in my new garden areas.
Outside
Tomato's & Peppers
Inside
Strawberries
There is still lot's more work to be done and the weather is just right to be spending time out doors.
We are planning on painting the lattice a redwood color and the rest will be white to match the existing trim. We reseeded the lawn and it is starting to sprout. We are expecting some rain early next week so that should give everything a good soaking.

I have finally finished my I-Spy quilt top and back after a miner adjustment.

I am thinking about having it professionally quilted. Stay tuned to find out what I decide.

Thursday Update (Happy St. Patricks Day)

Happy St. Patricks Day
A lot of crafting but not much sewing going on right now. I would show you what I have been up to except it's kind of suppose to be under wraps. It involves our up coming Stake Young Women Girls Camp.
There will be some paint and glue involved;) Our Theme is Treasure Seekers.

Here are a few pictures of the outdoor project. The weather has been fantastic for outside time this week!
Darren built two garden beds the one on the left will be for sun loving vegi's.  The one on the right will hopefully work out well for a herb garden. We may add another against the house.
I have some parsley and cilantro sprouting in the house and hope to transplant it soon. If anyone has any advice or gardening tips your comments are most welcome!

Thursday Update

It's not officially Spring yet but it is starting to feel like spring here in the Low Country!
I finally stopped in at a local thrift store last week and after looking around found the fabric hidden under some hanging sheets and table cloths. I scored 3 bags at 1.99 each. Here are some of the things I found inside.

These are a few of my favorites. I had to wash them and air them out, outside because whoever owned them stored them with moth balls!
I finished sewing my I-SPY quilt top and took a picture to show you but having trouble getting it and blogger to get along. Any way I thought it would be fun to embroider Bennett's name on his bug book.
For those who have been following the progress of the Brick Oven and outdoor project, here is a picture of the sealed cement counter top. It took hours of hard work but it is fantastic! Now the oven dome is being built. I need to take more pictures.
