Thursday Update (Last one for May)

It has been fun to make this project into this......

Some fun with Aperture 3.

I love using these stainless clips to hold projects together with out pins!
Back to work on "Greta"!

So what is your trick on straight lines for all that quilting you did on such a big quilt? did you do it in sections? Looks Fabulous!

The quilt really is not that big it is only 36x36.
I have a guide that came with both of my sewing machines, it is a metal thingy that looks like an L shaped arm that you can move back and forth to the measurement you want up to about 2 1/4 inches. You just line it up with the first line you sew. I marked my first line on the diagonal down the middle. I then sewed one side and turned the quilt around and sewed the other side. I found that the spaces were a bit to big so I also stitched in the ditch around each pieced square. It went pretty quick.

The quilting looks great. Maybe someday I will have the time to do another quilt.
