The day after christmas last year I began a 30 day journey of training for my very first 5K Run.
If you know me well you know that it's a bit of a chore for me to consistently workout. It's not a hobby for me I don't love it like a lot of my family and friends. I do however like the way It makes me feel after the fact. So I got on my elliptical that first week an it was like torture, but I kept going. I pushed myself to do 20 min. and by the week before the race I was running every morning for an hour.
It paid off I was able to finish the race in about 38min!
I could even walk the next day all over Disney wha~hoo.

And i am happy to report that I got up this morning and ran/walked 30min+. Will I race again? That question remains to be seen. Does anyone know when the next 5K in Summerville is? ;-)
