Why not end the week the way we started it!

A beautiful afternoon to go to the beach! We went to our favorite spot on IOP. There were a few people there this afternoon. It is the Collage of Charleston graduation weekend and Mothers day too.
25th Ave.
Ben telling Jacq that she did great, she really is catching on quick.

Such a cute couple!

Me:)

Nick was out there until he got a bit cold. The water is still in the 70's
We are so glad that summer is here and we live close to the beach!!!!

Tuesday Update

Jacquie was so nice to give Rusty and Kirra a bath and make them look so handsome and cute!

Thank you Jacquie!!!!!
I spent a lot of time getting my files uploaded to my new iMac.
Planted a few seeds in these empty pots. We will see if I can remember to water them:)

I am a little over half way there!

Evening Surf

A good day to go to the beach! School is still in, the water is getting warmer, vacationers are far and few!

It was a bit on the windy side but the waves were great for surfing!
Darren stuck it out even though he pulled a leg muscle!

Nothing like getting back in the water without those wetsuits:)

It's the Last Day of April!

We were finally able to get a free night to have my birthday dinner out. We both like to eat at California Dreamin' in Charleston on the water front.
This is the grand chandelier that hangs overhead in the entrance.
Their Crescents  are fantastic!
The view of the Charleston Harbor from our table.
After dinner we drove to the Folly Beach Pier. The sun was lighting up this cloud that was passing by on the warm breeze.

Self Defense

The Young Women learned some great lessons, on how to take care of themselves if they should get into physical trouble. I won't reveal all the things Cooper told them, but if you want to call me I would be happy to tell you some of the vital things he taught.

Tuesday Update (Last one for April)

I really should have done a smaller trial blanket first. I am a little more then 1/3 of the way finished and my ripples are more like bumples!
I still love the color combo though and Nick likes to come see how it is coming along.

Jacquie and I made these "Wheat Heat Bags" at Enrichment last week. You can also place them in the freezer as an alternate to an Ice Pack. So if you are looking for a way to use your old wheat that you have been storing this may be for you.
This is the card that goes with it just in case you are feeling industrious and want to make some for Mothers Day.
Wheat Heat Bag
"This bag can be used for quick muscle relief by heating in the microwave for 30 seconds. You can also place the bag in the freezer and get it nice and cold for some cool relief."

Sunday Evening Discussion

President Hallam came and spoke to the youth about some of his sailing experiences. He had the youth compare the navagation charts to the scriptures and related some of the things that happen to sailors when they forget to read their charts.

We had about 50, Ben and Jacquie were so kind to keep the four legged family members company downstairs.

Tuesday Update

Mothers Day card that I demonstrated at Stamp Club this week.
Watercolor Technique is one of my favorites
Still working on the Ripple blanket for Nick. It is coming along but I am only 1/3 of the way.

Check back next week to see how far I have progressed.
On another note Darren has been spending countless hours working on the Trek DVD. The Stake Presidency is coming over next week for the Premier. That is all I can say as the rest is under wraps until May 13th.
