Thursday Update

Spring is really here and the Bradford Pears are all in bloom! This was taken a few days ago on my iPhone while stopped at a red light. They are now just bursting with White Blossoms. I don't own one so no close up pictures.

Here is my first try at a Pinwheel block. I made this to go in my frame for the Month of March.

This bottle cozy started out as a hat, I was crocheting to tight so I decided to just keep using a single crochet stitch and turn it into a glass or bottle cozy. These are nice to use when you have a cold soda or water bottle so they don't leave a wet mess on your desk.

This is my first attempt at Free Motion Quilting. It was all right but I am going to practice on a lot more scraps before attempting anything quilted.

This is a Pinwheel placemat I think it turned out better then the first attempt.

And the back, fabric is from Walmart in case you were wondering.

This came in the mail from  the Fabric Shack they are located in Ohio. They have a super sale selection of Moda fabrics and my order came very quick;)

This is going to be in my April block!

Thursday Update

I want to share with you a few things I found through online companies.

Have you been having a hard time finding Jumbo Ric Rak? Well I found some and the price is fantastic, better then the stiff stuff I found here in my area. I ordered this for 1.09 a yard at Vogue Fabrics.

I have had Spring Fever by Moda's Me & My Sister on my favorites list. So when "The Fat Quarter Shop" newsletter came and they had this Quilt Kit advertised I took the plung! It arrived yesterday only 2 days after I placed the order! I hope that it will help me improve my quilting:)

It looks cute with my pink and red Valentine decor too.

I am still working on the flower project for New Beginnings and helping 2 of the Y.W. make purses. I am hoping to be finished with both early next week. I hope you have a wonderful week creating!

Tuesday Update!

Well here it is the last update for this year!

I was able to get my quilt sandwich put together with the help of Jacquie! We used safety pins to hold it together. It went together fairly easily.

I guess I should tell you that Santa brought me a new sewing machine and I have decided to call her "J" short for Janome.  She is a Memory Craft 9700.

I made Nick some football fleece blankets while Darren watched MNF last night. Nick said, that he was getting use to the cold. I thought this might help:)

I think that Next year I will do a Thursday update as we will be having Mutual on Tuesdays!

Tuesday Update

This was one of Nick's old white dress shirts now my crafty paint shirt, hopefully I will remember to use it!

Monkey quilt ready for flowers to be tied.

Loads and loads of laundry done after getting back from trip to Utah!

Purchased my first walking foot for sewing and am very excited to try machine quilting with it.
