Going to great heights to get this cleaning done!

When you have 3 stories (not the kind you read) you have to go to great lengths I mean heights to get them clean!

My very own Handyman!

Today my Handyman fixed my craft room light switch! Now I don't have to use the chair to reach the cord to turn the light on:) He also changed out some burnt out bulbs that I would have had to use a ladder to reach!! I sure am lucky to be married to such a handyman!!!

Thanksgiving 2008

Happy Thanksgiving from our home to yours!

We enjoyed a delicious dinner made by everyone. Darren did a wonderful job on the meats! He and Nick played a bit of Turkey bowl before returning home to check on the meat. Jacquie did a fantastic job with the rolls, fruit and sweet potatoes! Nick set a really cool table and Ben helped direct traffic;) We hope that you and your families had plenty to eat and stayed warm and cozy this Thanksgiving!

I am so grateful for each of you, thanks for making our lives more full this year!

A good day for cleaning:)

This afternoon was stormy and we decided early to get some work done inside. Nothing exciting, just the stuff that makes a messy house a clean home:)

Storms are Messy

We had another Lightning storm come thru last night. It packed 60 mile winds, hail and intense rain. Here are some pictures taken this morning after we came home from Seminary. Nick cleaned up all the large branches and limbs and blew the driveway when it dryed off.
Thanks Nick!

Spring Mulch

Today was another beautiful day in Flower Town. So why not get a little work done in the yard!
Darren took Nick and they filled the trailer with Natural Cypress mulch. They worked at pulling the weeds out of the front beds and them spread a nice layer of mulch.
It looks wonderful. I noticed that some of our Hibiscus plants are coming back.
Nick drove the truck forward with the trailer attached, after a bit of instruction. He is looking forward to getting his liscense this spring.

My Little Garden

I started some seeds on my bathroom window sill. They are growing very well there. I have pumpkins, sunflowers and watermelon. Today I transplanted them into larger containers and started some green beans. I think they like the light and the steam in here. I will keep them here until they are a bit bigger, then we will try the back porch. Some sad news, Ben's bike was stolen. Good thing he is Zone Leader and has a car right now. His was the 3rd one stolen from there apt. balcony. I have a new calling in the ward. I was called to serve as the Primary president. Posted by Picasa

March is already here!

Can you believe spring is just around the corner? It sure feels like spring here in Summerville! We are enjoying warm and sunny weather today. This is a picture of my scrap/craft room Darren did a beautiful job of putting it all together for me. I will add more pictures. I am still in the process of getting all of my supplies put away in an organized manner. Hopefully this will help me to work faster and get those 8 yrs of pictures under control! Thank goodness for digital cameras now I can store on disk not paper.  Posted by Picasa

Making progress

Hello everyone! We have Sea Salt walls now!! This was taken last week, after the painters finished and we got the furniture put back. I also painted my scrapbook room. I have some pictures of the cute animals that were on the walls. Ben wrote us on Valentines day. He is in Rocklin and is serving as the District Leader. He likes his Apt. Darren has been traveling around the state doing some work on the sites here in the Low country. Nick is working on his First Class. We are really loving the space here. We miss each and everyone of you. Our first guest came Sunday, we look forward to many more! Posted by Picasa
